  • Organise Hui’s so the whānau / beneficiaries can be informed and contribute
  • Whānau involvement required
  • Apply for funding for operational and project costs for the next 12 months
  • Restart Marae Fundraising for our Marae Development Plan
  • Work towards our Marae Development Plan with Oranga Marae
  • Funding options for Turitea Marae as we are in its infantcy
  • Future aspirations and actions for Turitea Marae (working with our Strategic Plan)
  • Rebuild our presence with our community and whānau
  • Build our Marae presence online
  • New IRD number for Turitea Marae
  • Non Profit Organisation status with IRD
  • Recoop unclaimed funds with IRD
  • Create a logo for Turitea Marae
  • Create a Turitea Marae Uniform
  • Appoint and replace Trustees that have passed on or resigned
  • Trustee training in a whānau environment
  • Create our Marae Charter and Strategic Development Plan
  • Ratification of Marae Charter at next AGM
  • Adoption of a 5-10 year Strategic Plan (working document)
  • Open new bank accounts and signatories

The purpose of Oranga Marae is to support the physical and cultural revitalisation of marae as centres of Māori identity and mātauranga
